SoftPOS will give SCB 500 Android devices.

Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) has teamed up with Mastercard and Soft Space to drive merchant adoption of contactless payments through SCB Tap-To-Pay.

SCB will deliver Soft Space’s Software Point-of-Sale (SoftPOS) solution across the Asia Pacific region with SCB’s Tap-To-Pay service.

Soft Space will supply SCB with 500 Android devices, valued at over THB3.25m, with the Mae Manee app installed.

Digio (Thailand) will deliver the devices to merchants with transactions totalling THB25,000 between 15 September to 31 October 2024.

Merchants will be able to accept contactless payments made with domestic and international Mastercard and Visa credit and debit cards, as well as Google Pay, Garmin, Fitbit smart watches, and QR payments via PromptPay, SCB said.
